Maybe you are returning to church, or coming to church for the very first time. Or, maybe you're an active church member who just moved to town and needs to find a new church home. Whatever your story may be, you probably have a lot of questions before you visit First Baptist Bridgeport.

Here's our attempt to guess what's on your mind and answer your questions. If we've missed something, let us know! You're probably not the only one with that question, so asking us will help us help you and future guests.

What is your Sunday schedule?

Worship services are held at 10:15 am and 6:00 pm. Sunday Bible studies meet at 9:00 am, and Community Groups meet throughout West Wise County in homes at 7:00 pm.

What do I wear?

You'll see people in everything from shorts to suits on Sundays. Our concern isn't what's on the outside, but what's on inside. Come as you are. Besides, Jesus accepts us as we are when we come to Him. Why shouldn't we?

Where do I park?

We have the main parking lot on the south side of the church—conveniently across the street from our main entrance.  General parking is also available in other parts of the west and south parking lots, and we even have off-site parking nearby.

Is there anything for my children?

Of course! We have Sunday options for newborns through high school seniors, including special times of worship designed just for the younger kids:

• •Waumba Land is a safe and secure environment for our birth through pre-kindergarten children so they love their experience from the very beginning. Waumba means “Creator” in Swahili, so Waumba Land means "Land of the Creator". Our desire is for every child to leave Waumba Land knowing that,“God created me, God loves me, and Jesus wants me to be His friend.”
• •The Island is a place to learn about faith, wisdom, and friendship for Kindergarten through 5th grade at 9:00 am in The Island.
• •The Attic is a ministry specifically for middle school and high school students.  Every Sunday at 9:00 there is high energy worship and relevant teaching for our students upstairs at the Attic.

In the church I grew up in, some people had "their" seats. What if I unknowingly sit in somebody's seat?

Don't worry about it. Sit wherever you want. Nobody has a claim on a seat. In fact, we'll even let you save seats for your family and friends!
